I finally taught myself how to do a fishtail braid. I'll tell you right now - definitely going to be my go-to summer hairstyle. We're heading to Nashville/Michigan/Chicago for the next two weeks, & I'm pretty sure it will be a rare occasion to see my trademark wavy locks hanging down. Humidity = braids & updos!

Saw this on A Cup of Jo...you better believe this is going to be my hairstyle tomorrow!  Perfect for weekend farmer's market, IKEA & antiquing, spring cleaning & a little DIY action. Too cute.

This weekend I'm helping out a friend of mine that works at a salon here in Scottsdale. I am going to be his hair & makeup model in a little photoshoot!  Hopefully I don't look too embarrassing...

Someday I will have that amazing red color on my head. My friend told me that because I was helping out with the shoot he could touch up my color to make it a little more red, but I declined because I am hoping to be blond again here in a few months...

to dye or not to dye

i have been back & forth for several days now about my hair color.  i eventually decided to continue growing my bangs out for awhile longer, but now i'm bored with my (totally in-style) ombre blond hair.  i have temporarily dyed my hair dark three times before, & i always like it.  boyfriend is gone this week on a business trip, & i think it would be so fun to surprise him tomorrow when i pick him up from the airport.  what do you think?

& since it is semi-permanent, it will fade into something like this before getting it back to my natural blond for summer...
